Phosphate Based Corrosion Inhibitors

Phosphate based corrosion inhibitors are inorganic additives widely used in primers, paints and coatings. Applications include various civil and industrial fields such as ships, automobiles, bridges, iron, architecture, production lines and steel structures. When used with phenol resins, alkyd resins, epoxy resins, acrylic resins, oil-soluble resins, water borne air drying or baking resins, phosphate based corrosion inhibitors greatly improve corrosion resistance, acid-resistance, water-resistance and fire-resistance properties.

Pantech offers a series of phosphate based corrosion inhibitors. Rustnone P101 and P102 are aluminum tripolyphosphate completely modified by zinc oxide that offer greatly improved anti-corossion ability compared to unmodified zinc oxide. They can be used directly in paints and coatings. Rustone P101 is for solvent based paints and Rustnone P102 is for water based paints. Rustnone P103 is aluminum tripolyphosphate partially modified by zinc oxide that can be used in both water based and solvent based environments.  Rustnone P201 is aluminum tripolyphosphate completely modified by calcium silicate which is suitable in solvent based paints for low corrosion applications. Rustnone A101 is unmodified aluminum tripolyphosphate that can be used in fire-retardant, heat-resistant and acid-resistant paints. It can also be used as solid acid catalyst hardener for alkali silicate.
